5. Minimising Distraction

Being mindful of how we are pulled by into the outside world is key to ensuring that we are not consumed by negativity, pain and the unnecessary dramas of life. Our senses are there to guide us, although often we are controlled by the external stimuli. Removing distractions allows us to turn within.

Leaders should feel self-empowered to make the right choices for both themselves and their teams. Each employee should also then feel empowered to do what’s best for their own well-being. Having courage within the workplace can be a positive skill, if used in the right way.

We should also feel comfortable asking for help and as a leader feel empowered to take difficult decisions when required. It can be refreshing when leaders take time for themselves and share their own difficult situations; this sends a positive message and inspires others.

Reena ran some lunchtime sessions during an international conference, helping delegates to unwind and find some space and calm during a busy schedule. These sessions included participants from all over the world, and were very well run and received. I have no hesitation in recommending that you work with Reena.

The small group was perfect for beginners and Reena made you feel at ease and spent time with you to explain the benefits. Reena is an extremely good teacher and combines her classes to include breathing exercises and chanting which adds to the relaxed feel.

Reena is able to impart knowledge and techniques from her years of experience and also really listens to what you want to get out of the session. I really felt like I had been heard. In what can be a frenetic world Reena invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself. I would certainly encourage anyone who feels like they need to take a breath to seek out Reena’s sessions. Both calming and enlightening. Thank you Reena.
