3. Mindful Movement

Any well-being plan incorporates physical exercise to keep our bodies strong and healthy, after all it’s our vehicle for being in this world.  Mindful movement and conscious breathing are a combination which works well, with minimal impact on the body.

The demands on leaders and managers on their physical body can be less obvious than those with physically demanding jobs. If we see physical exercise as separate from our work to do list, it can add pressure on our already busy schedule. If we can start thinking about exercise more as movement and how we use our bodies during the day it then works as an integration into our daily routines.

Simple things we can incorporate include, standing up more (standing on one leg), desk yoga (neck stretches), mindful breathing and just a minute meditation. If we are working from home, we can use this opportunity to move more freely within our own personal space.

Reena ran some lunchtime sessions during an international conference, helping delegates to unwind and find some space and calm during a busy schedule. These sessions included participants from all over the world, and were very well run and received. I have no hesitation in recommending that you work with Reena.

The small group was perfect for beginners and Reena made you feel at ease and spent time with you to explain the benefits. Reena is an extremely good teacher and combines her classes to include breathing exercises and chanting which adds to the relaxed feel.

Reena is able to impart knowledge and techniques from her years of experience and also really listens to what you want to get out of the session. I really felt like I had been heard. In what can be a frenetic world Reena invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself. I would certainly encourage anyone who feels like they need to take a breath to seek out Reena’s sessions. Both calming and enlightening. Thank you Reena.
